The exhibition can be visited from March 14th to April 6th, 2013, at the Foyer Hall of the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant.
Fildas Art Foundation and the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant, as organizers, Catena pharmacies, as sponsor of the event and the Romanian Association of Creative Women in Fine Arts collaborated in organizing the exhibition and the launch of Alexander Gheorghita’s sculpture album. The ehibitionn was presented by the art critic, Aurelia Mocanu.
In the foyer the audience could see the documentary “Portrait of Alexandru Gheorghita”, made by Senso TV.
“The sculpture of Alexandru Gheorghita brings together two fundamental components: on the one hand the deep memory of the anonymous carvers, those who lived in a true communion with the wood and the stone, beyond the everyday experiences, exterior and strictly utilitarian and, on the other hand, the redefining and reinterpreting of the space and form as they are in vision of Constantin Brancusi. (…) Alexandru Gheorghita creates his own world of forms and aspirations, and also a true mitology in which space each object takes a defined route, invested with complex meanings. “
